skincare | etude collagen sleeping pack

It's been almost four months since my last (and first) product review here. Since I have my Etude Collagen Sleeping Pack on right now, I thought it's a perfect time to finally get down to sorting out this review into coherency.

Pretty packaging aside, Etude did not provide a spatula for application. I simply use spatulas that came with my other face mask products. Please remember to use clean fingers or equipments to prevent contamination.

The consistency is pretty thick so a little goes a long way! It's a mix between serum and cream consistency.

Product info:
  • 100ml
  • formulated with Baobab Leaf Mucus and hydrolyzed Marine Collagen to create a protective barrier on your skin, locking in vital moisture while you sleep
  • 4-Free Formula: no Parabens, Benzophenone, Mineral Oil, Talc
  • to be cleansed off with warm water the following morning
The Etude Collagen Sleeping Pack is part of their Moistfull Collagen Skincare Regimen, which goes like that: First Essence > Facial Freshener > Essence > Firming Eye Cream > Emulsion > Cream > Sleeping Pack.

I got mine at $21.90 earlier this January. I would say this sleeping pack works for me as a whole, taking into consideration its price and brand. My favorite part of this mask routine is the beautiful matte-like state my face goes into once I cleanse it off in the morning. It's like having a filter on. Since I have crazy dark eye circles, the aftereffect makes me look alive, vibrant and healthy.

Verdict:
✅ matte-like smooth plumper complexion in the morning
✅ visibly minimized pores
✅ moisture retention is no joke
✅ does not dry out quickly
✅ a little goes a long way
✅ light fragrance - it lulls me to sleep (I'm an insomniac)
πŸ€” the glowy aftereffect fades after an hour or so
πŸ‘ŽπŸΌ no spatula provided

Reviews by other users over a range of four to five different sites are largely positive. Positive reviews are similar to what I have to offer above. Criticisms include people with really sensitive skin breaking out, and the fragrance being overwhelming. This product has not caused me to break out (reminder: I have combination skin leaning towards oily) till date so I guess people with sensitive skin have to tread carefully and test this product in small amounts first.

Final friendly reminder before I round up this post: as with all products, results and effects vary.
